Klokslag Dertig is a poignant and relatable coming-of-age film about the dilemmas faced by thirty-somethings today. The film follows the life of the main character: Sem. Who on her thirtieth birthday, is confronted with the expectations of society, her circle of friends, and most importantly, herself. While those around her seem to meet the ideal image of career, house, family, and settling down, she struggles with doubts about her choices and the question: “Have I chosen the right path?”

Through a series of comedic, painful, and touching moments, the viewer is taken on her journey toward authenticity and happiness. Klokslag Dertig is a story about friendship, self-discovery, and the acceptance that life doesn’t follow a set path.

This ASEGA production was co-written and directed by Yasha Hoevenaars. Klokslag Dertig will make its filmfestival debut in 2025.
